Next Sundays Walk
Dear Limper
The good news is that Nick and Carol are only on holiday for a week and they return to the UK on Saturday. This means we can look forward to the imminent arrival of better weather, and the temperatures for this coming weekend are set to be in the 60s or for the ones amongst us who understand the foreigners way of measuring temperature it will be 17. I don't know about you but I always feel warmer when the temperature is measured in Fahrenheit.
The planned walk this coming Sunday is a exciting one that takes us through a wonderful steep sided wooded gorge between Conchar and Melegis, and reminds me very much of the films you see set in the jungles of Borneo with the of Japs hiding in the bamboo swamps and tiger's around every corner. Logistically it is a difficult one to plan, as in being a linear walk, and not knowing who is going turn up. But the basics are that we take Pat's car to Melegis first thing Sunday Morning, then we all meet up at Chite for 10am. We then drive to Conchar in a selection of cars, walk from Conchar to Melegis, where the stragglers can catch a lift back to Chite in Pat's car. Whilst the rest who were not successful in talking sweetly to Pat walk back to Chite via the orange and Olive groves. There may be an opportunity to partake in refreshment as we pass through Melegis, but this will have to voted upon at the time. Once we have all reassembled we can then recover the cars from Conchar. The shorter walk should take about two and half hours and is classed suitable for Olwyn, with an extra hour for the section back to Chite. The tapa club will convene at our house after the walk.
 Regards
 Stuart
